FOR GOLF CLUBS · NO CONTRACT · NO COST
Your course is most likely already here: the layouts come from OpenStreetMap, drawn by volunteers. Nothing to apply for, nothing to install, nobody calls you. You put up a QR code, your guests play with it or print themselves a booklet.
IS YOUR COURSE IN HERE?
Every hole as a drawing, with distances to the edge of the green and over bunkers and water. On the phone or as an A6 booklet to print at home. No advertising, and no account needed to look at it or print it.
Nothing to install, nothing to sign, no invoice. You do not even have to tell us. If you want it, the code can be on the wall this afternoon.
A sign for the clubhouse, a badge for your website, the booklet to leave out in the pro shop. Scan it, open the course, play or print.
Everything is made in the browser from your course page. No download form, no approval. Print it, put it up, done. Search for your course above, then everything here points at that course.
Where the figures come from. From OpenStreetMap, measured along the line of play, roughly from the back tee. This is not your official scorecard, and every printout says so.
A number that is wrong? You know your course better than any map. Reporting it needs no account, straight from the hole, and we correct it.
Your logo on your course page. You can put it there yourself, without asking us. Four steps, three of them at Wikimedia:
Q….P154) to the file
from step 1.wikidata=Q… with the number from
step 2 to the leisure=golf_course area. That is the whole
facility, not one of the courses on it. That is how we know which
item belongs to you.We do the rest: we fetch the file and put it on your course page, on the cover of the booklet and in the app, with the licence and the author next to it. We look at every logo first, because that field is open for anyone to edit. So it does not show up the same day.
Too much hassle? Send the logo to clubs@openyardage.com and tell us we may use it. Then we take it from there.
You want your official lengths per tee, CR and slope? Write to clubs@openyardage.com, we build that by hand with the first clubs.
Your course is already here, otherwise you would not have found this page. And if a hole is missing: it is drawn in OpenStreetMap in an hour, and the way there is on every course page.
STILL REACHABLE
You do not have to apply for anything. But if you have a question, or you have rebuilt a hole: write to us, or come to the Discord. That is where you reach us, and where what gets built next is talked about.
